Day 5 Cunnamulla to Charleville

 

We didn’t really plan to go to Charleville as we headed west but with a bit of time to spare it was a good opportunity to have a look around. My brother-in-law was the postmaster in town in the 1980’s so good to see where they lived.

The weather was still a bit unpredictable so stuck to the caravan park plan and stayed just outside of town. There are a few things to do including the Cosmos Centre which is all about star gazing but most goes on in the evening but a bit of history about space exploration.

It was also a base during WW2 so there is a base you can do a tour of if you have time and again the water tower is painted up.

Pretty quiet country town but again plenty of caravans around.

If you were a smoker or had pets , you were not allowed in this park!!!!

It did rain again that night.
