Day 3 Bowman Park to Streaky Bay SA
And we're off . Left Bowman park pretty early today as we have another big day on the road as we make our way across SA. First stop was Port Augusta for some groceries at Woolies. I think I was there about 1min before someone asked us for money ! Prices were pretty good with avocadoes around $1.20
Have to get used to wearing masks again as we move west.
Filled up with fuel here - diesel was around the $1.88 with the discount . Made our way along the Eyre Highway through Kimba . The town now has some nice painted silos and the old Galah has had anew paint job. Long drive from there to Streaky Bay via Poochera. We had big plans of staying at Perlubie Beach as you an camp on the beach . I think a Jayco dealership at a caravan show would have had more room .
Quick check and onto Streaky Bay Islands Caravan Park about 5 km's out of town. Nice place , big sites and really pretty cheap . Lots of vans mostly people of our vintage but park rules apply. Drinks at 4 , bed at 8.00 it would seem . It was such a lovely night we sat outside till around 9 and looked at the stars.
Felt like we were disturbing the peace as you could have heard a pin drop.

Had a chuckle at 4 o’clock happy hour. Streaky Bay site looks great.
