Day 2 Pier Milan ( Sea Lake VIC) to Bowman Park ( Crystal Brook SA)

 Stopped at a little place called Pier Milan . The camp site is at the back of the old post office about a K off the highway . Had the place to ourselves. It was a bit of an eventful stop. We were having dinner and there was a bang - yes a  fitting had blown off the hot water system . Luckily we were onto it quickly and a  few hose clamps solved the problem . A good nights sleep followed but you know how things seem to happen in threes! Russ was putting up the stabiliser legs and a pin broke so he's standing there with the leg in his hand!!Oh dear was not the words he used . Another job to be done . 

Pit stop at Mildura to buy some new pins for the leg ( yes amazing we didn't have that spare ! ) and then fuel up to head for Crystal Brook . Why did we choose the line where the guy was filling up his 1000 litre fuel tank in the trailer behind his car. Needless to say, our stop in Mildura was longer than we planned. 

The rest of the journey across to Crystal Brook was pretty straightforward . Only 557 km. We had planned to stay in the free campsite in Crystal Brook itself but after seeing the train pull up right beside it decided to look elsewhere. Found a fabulous little place outside of town called Bowman Park . 

You know the saying do yourself a favour - this is it . Free for 2 nights with lots of amenities. Don't even think about staying in town. Had a beautiful night sitting out looking at the stars enjoying a class of wine with help from the friendly locals .
